Nine days until WINTERGIRLS is released...

We have the final tour schedule: I start on the West Coast, head South and loop around up to North Carolina. I apologize to the Mid-west! I spent a lot of time there on the CHAINS tour and suspect that my publisher didn't want me to revisit the area again so soon.

What you see below are only the public events. During the day, I'll be visiting schools and signing stock at bookstores. A bunch of nice people have written to me asking if I have time for a cup of coffee or dinner or a walk. I feel like a jerk turning down these kind offers, but I don't have a choice. Every day is jam-packed and I don't have any extra time, sadly.

If you work for a bookstore in one of the regions that I'm visiting and want us to try and schedule a stock signing when I'm in your neck of the woods, please send an email to Allison DOT Verost AT us DOT penguingroup DOT com.

Get out your notebooks, open your planners, fire up your email and spread the news far and wide!

Gah, I was hoping I'd be able to make it to the Wintergirls appearance back home in Oswego, but I'm graduating from college on the 16th, so I'll be stuck here.

But good luck and have fun! I'm really looking forward to reading the book. =]

Hey, you're going to be just a couple hours away at Changing Hands!

Not sure whether I'll be able to make it up there that day, but I'll post this to our informal local list and the Arizona SCBWI list both. :-)

Aww, authors never seem to make it down to Arkansas. =P They go to Texas and Missouri, sometimes even to Louisiana, but they always seem to skip over poor little Arkansas.

I just might have screeched a little bit when I read that you'd be in Seattle on my birthday, and immediately hinted to dad how awesome it'd be to go down there that day. :]

Awww, you should make a stop between Ca and Seattle, Wa at Powells City of Books in Portland. :( I have a PILE of students who read Speak in class last year, and who will be reading Twisted beginning in April that would like to talk to you. I'm definitely looking forward to reading Wintergirls, and have some kiddoes really looking forward to it as well.

Nothing in PA! I was hoping for a Philly stop, or maybe even one in the suburbs...
