Wonderful, wonderful, and yet more wonderful. Blessings on you, your husband, and all the words that will come forth in that beautiful space.

This video made me cry. What a beautiful gift, and an extraordinary place to write.

Wow! Absolutely fabulous! Congratulations! And I admit, I'm rather jealous. As I watched you video I had to turn the sound up on my computer so I could hear it over the noise of the shop vac and planner in my husbands basement workshop that is directly under my office!

I cracked up when I saw you and the boards... I belt-sanded, hand sanded and put a finish on every trim board (all local cypress wood) in our house. Something about doing part of it makes it more yours. I love your cottage. The window came out great. The Green Man is so neat.
BTW, we have a tile wall, spaced one inch from the wallboard, behind our wood stove. It collects more of the heat, protects the wall, and Bob also put some stainless steel reflectors behind the pipe to aim the heat more into the room. It looks like it will keep you warm without that, but it's an idea. Our wood stove is in one corner of the living room and we try to heat the whole house in winter. (Yes we have winter in north Florida...)
Definite blessings on the whole deal.
I read Zoe and loved it. Looking forward to the next book.
I loved that you thanked all the workers and businesses. They did a good job.

What a lovely place! I have a husband who does things like this, too -- perhaps one day I can persuade him to finish off a small corner of our backyard shed/workshop for me to write in. I'm so happy for you and hope you will find your little cottage a very creatively inspiring and fruitful place!

Wow! Your writing cottage is just as beautiful as I imagined it would be. It's such a joy to see you finally writing in there. Although I've read every blog entry about this cottage over the past year, seeing all of the steps in its creation together like this is so powerful. May the Magic Window bless you with light, love, and infinite inspiration.

Roald Dahl loved his writing shed, for sure, but it was nothing compared to this one. Even David McCullough has a modest little hut.

Of course, Philip Pullman’s own writing shed has a six-foot stuffed rat, but even that can’t compare to the history, beauty, quality, cutting edge technology, and good ol’ harmonious vibes that surround this exquisite space.

That is awesome. My favorite part? The card catalog... I'm officially requesting a blog post on what's in there and how you use it for your research.

All over the world, writers are showing this video to their spouses and saying, "Hint, hint!" ;-)

Great job by all! Enjoy your new space.
